Terremoto Benefit Auction

March 11, 2021

TERREMOTO, a publication speacializing in contemporary art in the Americas, in collaboration with González Jassan, carried out its second Benefit Auction in March 2021.

Thanks to the incredible support of 34 artists and participating galleries from 13 countries, more than USD $100,000 were raised. Among the participating artists were Miguel Calderón, Darío Escobar, Chelsea Culprit and Wynnie Minerva.

Since its founding, TERREMOTO, the leading magazine on contemporary art in the Americas, has endeavoured to create spaces of critical dialog in our continent, operating as an international nonprofit network of artists, scholars, critics, curators, collectors and other art workers in the hemisphere. TERREMOTO disseminates a cross-disciplinary viewpoint on current practices as well as the actors and issues pertaining to the region through critical thinking in its quarterly print version —with distribution points in Mexico, Latin America, the U.S. and Europe—and a digital platform with various contents.

The proceeds will benefit TERREMOTO and contribute to the funding of the production and circulation of the magazine, as well as the special projects of events, productions and residencies undertaken by our civil association to favor the labor of dissemination

and outreach led by the organization since its beginning.
