Exhibition: "2/4 Flea Market" | Javier Carro Temboury | Centre Pompidou-Metz

May 30 - September 6, 2026

From May 30 to September 6, Javier Carro Temboury’s solo exhibition 2/4 Flea Market at the Centre Pompidou-Metz takes the form of an installation composed of full-scale recreations of flea market stalls. A jagged line runs through the space, rigorously dividing it into four parts, interrupting tables and objects that have been deliberately left incomplete. This boundary suggests a tension within the work, between two sections occupied by the accumulation of objects characteristic of these markets and two others left empty, revealing a radical friction between the museum space and the commercial space.
