• Campeche presents Aglomerado I & II, the new edition of silkscreen prints by Julieta Gil, whose proceeds will contribute to funding an upcoming publication under the editorial direction of Amelia Hinojosa.

This series explores the erosion of digital imagery through abstract compositions that evoke bodies, geological formations, and fragmented surfaces. Constructed through 3D modeling, pixel compression, and the accumulation of layers of color, the images shift between the organic and the synthetic. The resulting surfaces appear to exist in a constant state of decomposition, where forms emerge and simultaneously dissolve.

The act of materializing a digital file into a physical medium such as silkscreen printing becomes a process in which I have no certainty about the image’s final outcome. Pixels transform into pigment, and a flat image turns into an accumulation of layers of form and color. The final result is unpredictable and beyond control.   - Julieta Gil
